Introduction

The world's largest religion as of today, Christianity is based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Christ is believed to be the son of God. Jesus life, crucification, resurrection are referred as Gospel. Gospel literally means Good News. Bible is the holiest book of Christianity faith. Christianity has three large groups or sects as Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and Protestants.

Jesus Christ was born in Bethleham to Virgin Mary and Joseph between 6 and 4 BC. He is the core of the Christian belief in all senses. His crucification, death and resurrection so as to grant eternal life to those who believe him is considered as the most important events in the history and much theology is based on these. He is also called as Jesus of Nazareth as his parents were the residents of Nazareth before coming to Bethleham. Virgin Mary was told by angel Gabriel that she will give birth to Jesus. Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem by Roman Empire between 30-33 AD.

Vatican City in Rome is the highest seat of Christian faith in the world. The Pope, also called as Bishop of Rome is the head and highest authority of faith and Church governance. Church is the place of prayer and other rituals. The Ten Commandments which are a set of biblical principles play a very important and dominating role in Christianity. Prohibition against theft, murder, adultery, blasphemy etc and worship only God are some which are included in these. Trinity is also an essential and important doctrine of this faith. According to it, God comprises three persons, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated all over the world on 25th December.
